EPCC Global was founded for the purpose of promoting and protecting industry and trade, as well as representing and expressing the viewpoint of the business community on issues that are relevant to trade and industry. It is an organisation that does not seek to make a profit for its members, and all of the money it makes and the property it owns goes towards furthering the organization’s goals.
Its primary function is to gather and disseminate data on domestic and international business conditions, including legislation, tariffs, trade opportunities, and other such factors.
The Chamber follows no particular political ideology in its work. The Chamber of Commerce’s Council is the organization’s highest policymaking body. It typically convenes on the first Wednesday of every other month to discuss pressing matters affecting the Chamber, the business community, and the economy as a whole. Non-Council members who are interested in attending can do so as observers.
In order to accommodate a wide range of concerns, we established a number of Standing Committees and Sector Groups. In order to facilitate business and commerce amongst members, letters of introduction may be issued. The Chamber also verifies the credentials of local members and helps them connect with foreign entities.
Members who use the Chamber’s library and business information centre have access to a wide variety of international directories, trade magazines, and periodicals. Members can pay a small fee to have their Certificates of Origin endorsed.
Conduct business and professional activities in a reputable manner so as to reflect honorably upon the business community.
Respect the reputation, profile and status of the EPCC, and represent the Chamber accordingly.
Understand support and promote the Vision and Mission of the EPCC and co-operate with fellow members in the application of this Code of Conduct.
Whenever reasonably possible, participate in the functions and activities of the Chamber, and promote the enhancement of business growth globally.
Observe the highest standards of ethics in rendering services and/or offering products for sale, based on the members’ own knowledge and expertise.
Refrain from engaging in any practices prohibited by law or seeking unfair advantage over fellow members.
Refrain from publicly disparaging the business practices of fellow members and refrain from condoning or engaging in misrepresentation or unethical practices.
